ŠPORAR HAS BEEN TRADED FROM OLIMPIJA LJUBLJANA TO FC BASEL

We are happily to report that our very own Andraž Sporar, the top scorer of the Slovenian First Football League and arguably the best individual in the tournament, has just signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with FC Basel. This morning Sporar flew to Zürich, where he was awaited by the club representatives and taken to Basel to undergo his medical examination. The young player from Ljubljana was then given the green light to finally sign the contract and officially become the member of the Swiss club. The talented attacker cost around 3 mio. Euros, which makes him the most expensive player to have come from the Slovenian League. Swiss champion Basel has given him the No. 9 shirt and says Sporar starts training with the club in January. We have to stress the importance that the 21-year-old forward had a goal-per-game scoring record for league-leading Olimpija this season.
